Minecraft Server Status 2.0.1

November 28, 2020 11:25PM MST by Alex Reiter

The release of Version 2.0 went a lot rougher than I imagined between the number of bugs discovered and the database corruption. This version addresses all the bugs known from version 2.0.

• Ability to change prefix (m/ save prefix
• All new help system providing information on every command
• Automatically updating Live Status message (m/ automsg)
• News/Announcement system (Sends each announcement once per server)

• Commands are no longer case sensitive, excluding the prefix.

• Live Message data is correctly removed from the database if the message is deleted or the channel is deleted or becomes inaccessible.
• Fixed single character prefixes not working
• Fixed server MOTDs not being cleaned of formatting characters in the live status message
• Fixed Aternos and Minefort servers not being marked as offline in live status message
• Corrected the spelling of "updating" in the help message
• Added Minefort to list of hosts with special detection for offline servers
• Fixed bot not working correctly in DMs
• Fixed any issues with data from one server crossing into another when two commands are run simultaneously
• Reformatted code for general performance boost

I really do apologize for the database loss and that the long awaited 2.0 release wasn't the high quality it should have been. Hopefully these fixes bring the bot back to good stability. Thanks as always for the support.

I’ve been waiting to send this message for a very long time and I’m super excited to finally bring you guys the first part of the Live Status Update, the automatically editing status panel. • All new help system providing information on every command
• Automatically updating Live Status message (m/ automsg)
• News/Announcement system (Sends each announcement once per server)

Thank you all so much for your patience and support through this process. Next update will bring more changes such as better compatibility for free hosted servers, sharding and blacklisting, then the voice channel status is up next.

Redesigned Minecraft Server Status Site

October 18, 2020 8:45PM EST by primenate32

We've seen great success in Minecraft Server Status, a Discord bot written by lead 123computer developer, Alex Reiter, and as such we thought it would be a good idea to update the existing homepage for Minecraft Server Status. The new site has been hand-crafted to better conform with the new 123computer design scheme. One of these main design elements is "cards", and the new website has been revamped to revolve around them. Cards show important details like examples commands and FAQs, all while looking sleek at the same time. We hope that this, along with the other changes to the 123computer help you enjoy your experience using our products and services. Check out Minecraft Server Status site by clicking here.

123computer.net Dark Mode

July 31th, 2020, 8:57 PM EST by primenate32

Dark mode is becoming increasingly popular in the tech industry, wether it be apps, operating systems, or websites, there's no denying that adoption of the new look is widespread. Today, 123computer now has an automatic dark mode. Dark mode is enabled when your device is set to use dark mode. To enable dark mode on Windows 10, make sure that your default app mode is set to dark, and that you are using the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, or Edge. This can also be acheived on the latest versions of iOS and Android by enabling dark mode in your system settings. We hope you are enjoying the new features we are adding to 123computer.

Minecraft Server Status 1.7 and 1.7.1

July 9, 2020 10:56 PM MST by Alex Reiter

I'd like to start this post by thanking my friend Nathaniel for bringing new life into this webpage. I released an update to the Minecraft Server Status bot today, the changelog can be found below.

• The ability to store one server IP per guild and check it later without having to type the whole IP out. (m/ save and m/ check)
• Posts server count to top.gg
• Error message if non-numeric characters are typed in the port argument
• Error message if the port argument is outside the range of 1-65535

• Code optimization, better error handling and further stability enhancements
• Bot has been updated to use Discord.js Version 12
• Suggestion confirmation now uses new embed system
• Colors of the embeds have all been changed to Red, Blue and Green
• Changed the error message embed
• Bot blocks invite links in #suggestions (7.1)
• Bot now allows people to specify port numbers a colon instead of a space, as it seems that's how the vast majority of people were doing it. (specifying port with a space still works too) (7.1)

The database groundwork laid in this version will enable (finally) the addition of the live status displays, so expect to see some real progress made on that soon. As always thanks for supporting the bot.
